Jacques Gouillard accompagné de deux autres membres de CSF, Alexandre Langlois et Catherine Caffiti diplômée de l’ITHQ en Formation supérieure de cuisine, tous trois chargés de marmites, casseroles et bruleurs, s’engouffrent dans un avion affrété par le gouvernement canadien aux côtés des militaires, des infirmiers, des médecins et des pompiers. Ils sont les passagers les plus anachroniques de ce voyage : inutiles de vous dire que l’uniforme de cuisine s’est démarqué de ceux qu’on a l’habitude de voir dans ces circonstances.
Nous donnons des cours à des personnes bénéficiant de l’aide sociale à Montréal au Café sur la rue, lieu où depuis 2005, nous assurons les repas du temps des Fêtes à des personnes seules et sans ressource.
Nous remettions nos premiers diplômes Montréalais en Mai.
En mars, Marie-Claude Martineau, ancienne élève de l’ITHQ et Frédéric St Laurent, chef cuisinier, débarquent à Glazoué au Bénin pour retaper un local en décrépitude afin d’en faire la première école de CSF sur le continent Africain. J’y débarque au mois de juin pour former six femmes et six hommes dont la plupart travaillent aujourd’hui.
Michou notre formatrice de Madagascar vient à Montréal faire un stage de perfectionnement à l’ITHQ.

Nous entamons notre huitième année. Notre objectif : consolider nos réalisations, nos finances et avoir plus de cuisinières et cuisiniers à nos côtés d’ici 2013, année de notre dixième anniversaire.
Pour ce faire nous voulons former des comités et il y a de la place pour celles et ceux qui voudraient s’impliquer : communications, banquets, vente de produits dérivés, sollicitation de nouveaux membres, tenu de livre, recrutement et informations auprès des bénévoles, vente de billets de loterie et autres activités connexes.

Chef Thémis, ne vous en faites pas pour Lucie. Elle est heureuse et est toujours avec vous, tout près de vous. Vous êtes une bonne personne et les gens comme vous ne sont pas nombreux sur cette belle terre. Vous êtes un grand Homme. Michou, un seul mot pour dire que vous avez un très grand coeur et chacun de vos gestes et de vos mots le montrent parfaitement.
